Born in the Kingdom of Liseria on the planet of Parallax, Kaylee was once the embodiment of a joyful childhood. Raised in a loving home with her doting mother, father, and a younger brother three years her junior, Kaylee lived an idyllic life. She was a bright and imaginative child, often dreaming up grand plans for her future and always finding ways to bring joy to her family.

That happiness was shattered when she was just 10 years old. On the night before her mother’s birthday, Kaylee, eager to surprise her with a homemade meal, snuck into the kitchen to prepare a special dish. But her inexperience in cooking led to disaster. In her panic, she accidentally started a fire that quickly consumed the house. Terrified and desperate, Kaylee tried to put out the flames, but her efforts only worsened the blaze. As the fire raged, she was burned severely, leaving her with oil burns that paled her once vibrant skin. Worse still, the fire claimed the lives of her entire family—her mother, father, and brother.

Kaylee barely survived, but the trauma left deep scars, both physical and emotional. Her once smooth skin now bore the marks of the fire, and the event left her with a stutter that emerged in moments of fear or anxiety. Worse than her physical injuries was the overwhelming guilt that consumed her. Despite being just a child, she blamed herself entirely for the tragedy, believing her actions caused the deaths of those she loved most.

With the inheritance left from her family, Kaylee rebuilt her home, though it was never truly the same. She lived in isolation, afraid that she might once again hurt those around her. Rather than seeking out the company of people, she found solace in the companionship of wild animals. Over time, she became a protector of the lost and abandoned creatures—feral dogs, cats, and other animals that found their way to her. With them, she felt a kind of redemption, believing that although she had failed her family, she could still care for those in need.

Kaylee spends her days on the outskirts of Liseria, keeping to herself and her wild companions. She’s cautious, always on guard, and her stutter worsens when she’s stressed or reminded of her past. But there’s a kindness to her, a deep compassion for those who are lost or broken, just like her. Despite her fears, she carries within her a spark of hope—hope that one day, she can forgive herself and move beyond the shadow of that fateful night.
